Shoot Report – Andy Willett
Another good turnout today with over 50 entries again, including 46 members. Competition in all classes was quite close with some very good scores in all classes. Some of the targets did require more concentration and were not as straightforward as they appeared. Quite a few of you seemed to like the simultaneous driven pair of Standard and Midi – handy for the game season.
Alan Johnson scored 49 in AA, whilst A class was won by Antony Robinson with a very good 52. Close behind were Nigel Hebburn on 50, with Dom Walker and Andy Willett scoring 49. B class trophy winner this month was Gavin Smith with 45 followed by Ron Turner, Simon Spencelayh and Mike Collins who all scored 42. C class winner this month was Otis Oakford (Junior) with a fine 42, beating his dad by 3. Mike Thackery and Mick Smith were C class runners up on 39. Well done all.
Many thanks to everyone who helped with the setting up on the Saturday and Sunday, and for the extra helpers packing away after the shoot. A special request to Matt Oldland who was absent due to illness – please get better soon mate.

At our October shoot we are again hosting the Surrey CPSA side-by-side competition (and Webley & Scott trophy for non-Surrey CPSA members).

Ongoing request: We are trying to get our trophy presentations back on track and need to find some that are missing. We have historically given trophies for A B and C Classes at every shoot but some of them have not been seen for several years. Please could you all check on your shelves, in cupboards, garages etc. to see if you have any of the original trophies. All of our original trophies have a label with Guildford and District Gun Club and the Class and Month. If you have one, please could you send a photo to petersaich@hotmail.com or bring it to the next shoot so we can identify it and tick it off the list.
