Shoot Report – Peter Saich

Good weather and another great turnout for the May shoot with 44 members plus 8 guests cards handed in. There was another great layout thanks to Andy and Matt. The sequence was fun and caught a few people out, including Andy who was looking for the wrong pair and none of his squad reminded him.

Kevin Scarlett won A Class with 54. Jason Stredwick was second with 52 and Andy was third with 50 despite not shooting at one of the sequence pairs. Chip Smith comes and supports us when he is not on England or GB duty because he likes Andy’s targets. Chip completely mis-read the quartering targets on stand 2 and missed all four, but he then only missed one other target all morning. Great shooting Chip and just goes to show how clever Andy’s targets are. You have to think about all of them which keeps it interesting and keeps some of us coming back time after time.

In B Class, there was a tie for first place between Chris Flanders and Gavin Smith who both scored 47, but Chris takes the win on countback with two straights to Gavin’s one.

Ron Turner scored an excellent personal best 48 to win C Class. John Hughes also shot very well in C Class but had to settle for second with his score of 45.

Thank you to all of the set up and break down helpers, and to everyone who came to shoot and support our club.
