Shoot Report – Peter Saich
Firstly, thank you to the working party of Glen, Stuart and Andy who went to Clandon on Friday afternoon to clear some undergrowth and improve paths and access in the shooting area. The professional equipment that Glen brought along made light work of large areas very quickly.
Thank you also to James and Rob for taking delivery of 48,000 cartridges this week, then loading some of them onto Rob’s pick-up for distribution today.

There was a smaller entry than the last couple of months with people either on holiday or avoiding the forecast rain. In the end there wasn’t much rain and the 38 members were treated to another great and varied layout today, some designed by Andy and others by Matt. There were two stands of simultaneous pairs where you had to make up your mind which one to shoot first (and then probably change part way through) and a sometimes seemingly indestructible rabbit!
Best to cope with these well thought out targets was Glen Boxall, winning AA Class with 54.
Jason Stredwick was top of A Class on 50, ahead of Peter Saich and Des Park in joint second on 48, but the performance of the day was Chris Wells hitting a magnificent 53 to win B Class. He was 9 targets clear of Gary Evans in second place on 44. Keeping it in the family, Alex Wells was third with 43. In fourth place with 42 was our newest member Chris Gummer. Welcome Chris.
In C Class, Jon Watson did one better than his second place last month to win with 42. John Hughes was second this time with 36 and Stuart Hulme was third with 35.
A big thank you to those few who braved the late rain to stay to the end and help get everything safely away.
