Shoot Report – Peter Saich
There was a bumper turnout for our January Handicap Pairs competition with 50 members and 11 guest cards returned. Thank you.
Thank you to Andy and Glen for all your work on Saturday setting traps out with horrible ground conditions so that we could all stay generally on the paths and avoid the worst of the mud.
The targets proved a bit tougher than the December shoot when 24 out of 56 members scored over their average with a combined score and handicap of over 60, while only 6 out of 50 members improved on their average this month. There was still some good scores from A Class with Top score of the day by Glen Boxall with 50. Second was Matt Neville on 48 with James Horrod and Matt Olldland just behind on 47.
In the Handicap Pairs event, James Faulkner kindly drew the scorecards at random and paired them up, which resulted in a win for Dom Walker and Peter Saich on a combined total of 123.64
Second were Alex Wells and Mick Ragless with 119.09
Third were Jan Wallace and Ant Neil on 117.70
Thanks as ever to the usual team who helped set up and also those who stayed until 2.45 to ensure that everything was collected and safely stored ready for next time.
Next month is a return to our usual format with three classes and ‘first past the post’ for trophies (and promotion!).
The Club AGM and prizegiving is booked for 19.30 at the Bisley Clubhouse on Thursday 12th February. There will be a buffet provided and a bar is available. Please come and support the committee and have your vote in electing the Officers and Committee for this season. Nominations / Volunteers for Committee welcome in advance as per Club rules.
And finally, subscriptions are due if you have not already paid them.
